Niki Popper published and presented about 150 articles and talks in journals and at international conferences. He coordinated modelling & simulation in about 100 R&D projects. His main research interests are theory and applications of modelling & simulation of dynamic and complex systems, especially. He co-invented the award winning Master College for Applied Modelling, Simulation and Decision Making at TU Wien, the award winning blended learning courses in basic maths at TU Wien and continuously supervises and co-supervises Master and PhD Thesis in the area of modelling and simulation.
Amongst others, Niki Popper is chair of the Technical Committee “Data Driven System Simulation” of SMDM (Society for Medical Decision Making), Founding President of the ISPOR Austrian Chapter, Member of the ISPOR Modeling Review Group, Vice Spokesperson for “Methods in Modelling and Simulation“ and for “Environmental and Geo Sciences, Medicine and Biology” of EUROSIM (Federation of European Simulation Societies) and member of the ASIM.
