Based on the current spread of the Corona-virus our models show that the first confirmed case of the disease in Austria will occur by early March. But this is no reason to panic. Now the most important thing is to prepare for the upcoming challenges.
The priority here lies on the following two topics:
1) Why do we not know how fast the virus is spreading and how can we protect persons at risk?
2) How can we know if we have enough health-care infrastructure at hand?
Our simulation model can help to answer both questions!
