STABLE AIR

In cooperation with companies in the field of airport consultancy and with support from the Research Promotion Agency (FFG) several models for the operational and strategic airport planning were developed. The aim of STABLE AIR was to create a large overview model to map as many functionalities of an airport as possible. This can be used for decision supports concerning future airport planning.

The created model consists of three linked sub-modules: Landside (agent-based traffic flow model to simulate the arrival and departure), Terminal (hybrid model for the simulation of check-in / security checks / passport control and entertainment area) and Airside (simulation of boarding and departure considering different types of aircraft).

The expertise of dwh GmbH is to simulate and couple these sections to be able to analyze dynamic effects that propagate through the sections.
